About this opportunity
Responsible for providing expert legal support by drafting, reviewing, and providing opinions on all credit related issues while delivering sound and strategic legal advisory to mitigate potential risks to the bank's business units.
Responsibilities
- Draft, prepare and review of security documents and lending related contracts to ensure legal soundness and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Coordinate and monitor the registration of security documents with relevant authorities
- Provide timely and well-reasoned legal opinions to business units, branches, and internal credit committees
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Law (LL.B)
- Must be enrolled as an Advocate
- Master's degree in Law or Business studies is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a dynamic and fast-paced commercial legal environment
