Client Analyst; Commercial - Origination

About this opportunity

To evaluate and manage counterparty credit risk within Business Banking Commercial lending, ensuring sound credit decisions and portfolio quality while supporting structured trade finance and lending solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provision of direct credit evaluation services at the customer interface and apprise client applications timely
• Identify credit and risk management requirements at the source of the deal negotiation/ business proposal
• Utilize industry risk analysis available to identify and understand contextual threats to existing and potential clients
• Prepare Business Engagement Request and present to Credit and Credco for an appetite test
• Present and defend own judgement and senior credit evaluations
• Propose appropriate financial and non-financial covenants at the facility origination and monitor covenants post credit facility disbursement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
• Other relevant qualifications including ACCA/CPA and post graduate qualifications will be an added advantage
• At least 3 years' experience in Banking and/or Financial Services, 2 years being in Credit origination or evaluation
